Privacy Notice
Ascend AI Technologies Inc. · Effective July 8, 2026
Who we are
Ascend AI Technologies Inc. (“Ascend AI”, “we”) operates this platform, which generates AI-assisted land-development feasibility reports for properties in British Columbia. Access is currently limited to invited beta reviewers. This notice explains what personal information we collect during the beta, why, and the rights you have under BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Privacy officer
Our designated privacy officer is William Tucker, Ascend AI Technologies Inc. For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact info@ascendai-tech.com.

What we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, provided when you were invited.
- Agreement records — when you accept the reviewer agreement on first login we record the legal name you type, your email, the document version and checksum, the date and time, and your IP address, as evidence of acceptance.
- Usage content — the addresses and parcels you look up, the reports generated for you, your questions in the report and bylaw chats, and your credit balance and usage.
- Technical basics — authentication cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not currently run analytics or advertising trackers; if that changes we will update this notice first.
Why we collect it
To provide and secure the service, to evidence contract acceptance, to grant and meter beta credits, to communicate with you about the beta, and to improve the product. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
AI processing
Report and chat content is processed by Anthropic (Claude) and Voyage AI under commercial terms that do not permit our data to be used to train their models. Payments infrastructure is provided by Stripe (no charges are made during the beta). Hosting and data storage are provided by Vercel and Supabase. If you join our waitlist, your contact details (email, company, and campaign attribution) are processed by HubSpot, a US-hosted CRM and email platform, to manage the signup and send you a confirmation email.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States — this includes HubSpot, our US-hosted CRM and email platform, which stores waitlist contact information (email, company, and campaign attribution). Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. Contact our privacy officer for questions about how your information is handled by our providers.
Retention
We keep account and usage information while your beta account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Agreement-acceptance records are retained as evidence of the contract. On request we will delete information that we are not required to keep for legal or contractual purposes.
Your rights
Under PIPA you may request access to, or correction of, your personal information — email our privacy officer and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Security and incidents
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. If a security incident materially affects your information, we will investigate, contain it, and notify you without undue delay.
Changes
We may update this notice as the beta evolves; material changes will be flagged in the app. This beta notice will be replaced by a full privacy policy before public launch.
